  • Alice In Nittanyland- 60 Years Later

    Film-making in the 1950’s was quite different than the action-packed dramatizations we see played out on the big screen today. The 10-15 minute short film efforts of two Beta roommates in the late 50’s however, would forge two careers in film producing and directing and lead one of them to found the Disney Channel.

    Among his hobbies are hunting and fishing – though you might not guess someone with a career like Paul J. Weitz ‘54 would have time to kick back and enjoy a relaxing day on the water, or in the woods.

    His resume is a collection major accomplishments, which all began at Penn State University in 1950 and at the organization that continually develops men of principle – Beta Theta Pi.
